Abstract

Debrisoquine (Declinax - Roche) is another hypotensive agent which specifically inhibits the release of noradrenaline from stimulated adrenergic nerves, as do guanethidine (Ismelin - Ciba) and bethanidine (Esbatal - BW). In its structure and its pharmacological actions it resembles bethanidine more than guanethidine.
