    Probiotics for gastrointestinal disorders

    In our article Probiotics for gastrointestinal disorders (DTB 2004;42:85–8), we incorrectly quoted a remission rate of 15% for patients with pouchitis taking the probiotic product VSL#3. It should have stated that 85% of patients taking VSL#3 remained in remission compared with none (p < 0.001)1 or 6% (p < 0.0001)2 of those taking a placebo. The error does not affect the article's Conclusion.
