    A glucose monitoring system that measures glucose levels from a sensor applied to the skin is the subject of a briefing document developed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).1 The FreeStyle Libre system (Abbott Diabetes Care) uses ‘flash’ monitoring to measure interstitial fluid glucose levels at regular intervals.
