Abstract

Duogastrone (Berk) is the name given to specially designed capsules containing carbenoxolone sodium. Tablets of carbenoxolone promote healing of gastric ulcers when given to out-patients,^1–4 though the advantage they offer may be smaller in the hospital treatment of gastric ulcer.^{5 6} We discussed the tablets (Biogastrone - Berk) in 1964.⁷
