Corticotrophin in multiple sclerosis and retrobulbar neuritis

Abstract

Multiple sclerosis is a demyelinating disease of unknown aetiology. In some respects it resembles inflammatory or allergic processes and for this reason corticosteroid hormones have been used in its treatment.
