Equipment for the disabled user

Abstract

The Research Institute for Consumer Affairs (RICA) is carrying out a series of comparative evaluations of both special equipment designed to make life easier for people who are disabled in various ways, and of standard domestic equipment for use by the disabled. Reports so far published (with prices) are on page turners (4s), microfilm projectors and prismatic spectacles (4s) for making it easier to read in bed, and on refrigerators (4s) and cookers (5s). They can be obtained from the National Fund for Research into Crippling Diseases, Vincent House, Vincent Square, London S. W. 1., which with the Sembal Trust is sponsoring this project.
