The management of rosacea
Abstract
Rosacea usually begins with facial erythema which remits at first but later persists: it is associated with inflammatory papules, pustules and, in some patients with sebaceous gland hyperplasia. Rosacea can also involve the conjunctiva and cornea. The condition differs clinically from acne vulgaris and the old name of acne rosacea is misleading. Although its cause remains unknown, it can now be treated with remarkable success.
