Abstract

Since we discussed L-dopa last year¹ the drug has been marketed as Larodopa (Roche) and Brocadopa (Brocades), many further reports on it have been published,^2–6 and the lay press has at times exaggerated both its benefits and its adverse effects. Meanwhile another new drug, amantadine (Symmetrel - Geigy), has also been introduced for Parkinsonism.
