Netelast and surgifix

Elastic net surgical tubular stockinette

Abstract

Netelast (Roussel) and Surgifix (Armour), introduced in 1966, and described as elastic net surgical tubular stockinette, are designed to hold dressings in position. Their elasticity and open texture are claimed to make them easier to apply, better for holding dressings on awkward sites (e.g. head, axilla, breast and groin) and more comfortable for the patient than other materials.
