Abstract

A correspondent adds as a postcript to our article on ‘Compound Names for Drugs’ that misunderstandings sometimes occur between people who pronounce the same drug name differently. Each may merely think the other an ignoramus, but a misunderstanding, especially on the telephone, might lead to administration of the wrong drug.
