DOACs and risk of major bleeding with concomitant medicines

Concurrent use of amiodarone, fluconazole, rifampicin or phenytoin may increase the risk of major bleeding in some patients taking a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC, also referred to as non-vitamin K [or novel] oral anticoagulant [NOAC]), a retrospective cohort study has found.1
