Novobiocin
Abstract
The advent of newer penicillins effective against resistant staphylococci, such as methicillin (Celbenin - Beecham) invites a reassessment of novobiocin, which is frequently used for such infections. The erythromycins and triacetyloleandomycin, similarly used, were discussed in the last issue of The Medical Letter (Brit. Ed. July 27, 1962, p. 25).
