Oxygen outside the hospital

Abstract

Outside hospitals oxygen may be required in two different kinds of situation, in emergencies, and for the relief of certain patients with chronic pulmonary insufficiency. This article considers the uses of small portable oxygen equipment; the various appliances that are available will be discussed in a later issue of The Medical Letter.
