Disulfiram (antabuse)

Abstract

Disulfiram (Antabuse - Gedeon Richter) is a relatively old drug with the property of disturbing the metabolism of alcohol so that highly disagreeable and even dangerous symptoms develop after an alcoholic drink. In the absence of alcohol, disulfiram is a rather inert substance with only occasional side effects at ordinary dosage.
