New-comers since the review in Prescribers' Journal (April, 1962) include a preparation in which iron is chelated as ferric versenate (Sytron - Parke Davis), and a new sustained-release preparation of ferrous sulphate (Ferro-Gradumets - Abbott). Each of these is claimed to be more effective or less toxic than the established iron preparations.
