AB  - A squint is common in childhood and all children suspected of having a squint should be referred to an ophthalmologist as soon as possible after the first few weeks of life. Some of these children turn out to have straight eyes but with epicanthic folds or a broad flat bridge to the nose that produce the appearance of a convergent squint; these normal variations usually disappear as the child grows older, and this can be explained to the parents.
