The management of thyroid exophthalmos

Abstract

Exophthalmos can be uncomfortable, unsightly and even painful. If severe, it may lead to corneal ulceration and blindness. In adults it occurs most commonly in women aged 20–45 associated with Graves’ disease. We discuss here the management of the condition.
