Multidose injection containers and bactericides used in them

Abstract

MULTIDOSE INJECTION CONTAINERS are now known to have serious disadvantages, but are still often used without justification both in hospitals and outside. Examples include many local anaesthetic solutions, Water for Injections, Sodium Chloride Injection, certain oily injection solutions and sclerosing agents. Some hospitals make or buy certain injections in multidose containers to reduce costs, although the saving is seldom substantial.
