Oxygen equipment for use at home

Abstract

The conditions for which oxygen treatment might be required outside hospital were discussed in a previous issue (Medical Letter, Brit. ed. 1962, 1, 35). This article deals with the equipment used. The equipment is in three parts; an oxygen cylinder, a pressure regulator and flow control, and an oxygen mask or other device for delivering the gas. An asterisk indicates equipment which cannot be prescribed on form E. C. 10 at present. The schedule is being revised, and additions are to be expected.
