Radiation risks from radiodiagnostic procedures

Abstract

The risks involved in doing x-ray examinations and radioactive isotope tests always need to be considered in relation to their diagnostic value. This article deals only with radiation risks to the patient, but various procedures of course involve other risks as well, for example from the injection of contrast material.
