Cost of a diuretic with potassium (15 September 1978, p. 73): clarification

Abstract

We said that the combined preparation often costs more than when the 2 drugs are prescribed separately. This is true in hospitals but in general practice the combinations are often cheaper. The decision whether to prescribe potassium at all, and if so how much, must of course be made on other grounds.
