Abstract

In the article on Drugs in Normal Labour (15 September) page 75, three words were omitted from the last sentence. It should have read ‘A combination of pethidine with a phenothiazine such as promazine (12.5 – 50 mg) in established first-stage labour reduces the amount of pethidine required by about 50% but does not alter the frequency with which the infant may need to be resuscitated.
