Abstract

In recent years guanethidine eyedrops (Ismelin - Ciba) have been used in the treatment of two different conditions: chronic simple glaucoma, and endocrine ophthalmopathy, which includes exophthalmos, ophthalmoplegia, lid lag and lid retraction, and is often associated with thyroid disease.
